The National Capital Tartan Day Committee (NCTDC) extands an invitation to U.S. Members of Congress and the visiting delegation from Scotland to a luncheon to inaugurate the Congressional Friends of Scotland Caucus. U.S. Representatives McIntyre and Duncan, co-chairs of the Caucus, will make brief comments. Luncheon will be served in Rayburn B-338. For supporters and by invitation only

National Capital Tartan Day Committee (NCTDC) members will host a reception in honor of National Tartan Day and to celebrate the creation of the Congressional Friends of Scotland Caucus. The reception will include brief remarks by U.S. Representatives McIntyre and Duncan, co-chairs of the Caucus, Mr. Tom McCabe, Scottish Finance Minister, and Mr. George Reid, Presiding Officer of the Scottish Parliament. Entertainment will be provided by Scottish fiddler Andrew Dodds. Refreshments will include soft drinks, beer, wine, Scottish whisky, and hors d'oeuvres.
